What's Up Today

Due to public pressure, FEMA has shifted some contracts to small firms and intends to award them through competitive bidding. This means that hugh engineering firms like Bechtel will not get each and every cent spent on rebuilding after Rita and Katrina. The reliance on the small firms, more experienced in the field, and competitive bidding should have been going on from the first.
